Introduction

Introduction
Electromagnetic Flowmeters are based on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction.
In an Electromagnetic Flowmeter, the magnetic field is generated by a set of coils. As the conductive liquid passes through the electromagnetic field, an electric voltage is induced in the liquid which is directly proportional to its velocity. This induced voltage is perpendicular to both, the liquid flow direction and the electromagnetic field direction. The voltage sensed by the electrodes is further processed by the transmitter to give standardised output signal or displayed in appropriate engineering unit.
The flux density of the electromagnetic field in a given Flowmeter and the distance between the electrodes are constant. Therefore, the induced voltage is only a function of liquid velocity.

Adept MagFlow 6410 Full Bore Electromagnetic Flowmeter is suitable for the most demanding applications. It is based on Faraday’s law of Electromagnetic Induction. The meter features flanged construction and is available with choice of liner and electrode material. All meters consist of a sensor and a converter that may be mounted either integral to the sensor or remotely with a field mount kit. Adept Flowmeters are calibrated at our own Water Flow Calibration Facility. It uses the primary method of measuring the water flow by gravimetric principle. The facility is designed for calibration of flowmeters under controlled and stable flow conditions.

Adept UFM 6710 wall-mount clamp-on Ultrasonic Flow meter provides abundant capabilities for accurate liquid flow measurement from outside of a pipe. It utilises state-of-the-art technologies in ultrasonic transmission / receiving, digital signal processing and transit-time measurement. The proprietary signal quality tracking and self-adapting technologies allow the system to optimally adapt to different pipe materials automatically.
